Background

History: In 1996 a team of hard-working patriot social workers and teachers decided to establish as institute of training for the deprived immigrants in Pakistan in order to help and educate the destitute people living away from the county in the critical condition getting shelter away from the warring situation of their country, Afghanistan. Working with the indigent migrated people and getting to discern their private, domestic and overall predicament and setback on unusual issues was the stimulus to a powerful spur to make an Organization raise Human Rights Awareness to key Advocacy, Gender Balance, abolish gender discrimination and build peace. Women were the crucial victims and gender discrimination had spread all over the country. After the Taliban had conquered the country the drawback covered every part of Afghanistan. The team decided to establish an Organization under mane of Afghan Women Rights Organization (AWRO) to raise public awareness to human rights, peace and policies.

Experience
AWRO’s

AWRO has worked for more than 20 years in education and public awareness sectors and capacity building programs providing modern languages and Computer Science courses and other programs for more than 50,000 people at local level. In the period of more than 10 years working as a Civil Society Organization, AWRO has worked in various areas at national level implementing several projects providing different services to people in areas of Agriculture, Access to Justice, Elections, Good governance, Business development, Women Empowerment, Anti-Corruption, Advocacy and Researches, Health and Nutrition, Elimination of Violence Against Women, Livelihood and Income generation, Democracy and Peace, and Women rights and etc. Significant achievements have been obtained by AWRO praised by the donors and supporters for its great attainments

Believing that agriculture can, and must, play a critical role in addressing large-scale public health and economic challenges, more than 5,000 people have been provided with the knowledge, education and techniques regarding agriculture increasing their capacity to generate more income from fewer resources. Through our work, we tried to change the way agriculture is treated by moving away the short-term handouts and towards equipping the target groups with the knowledge and resources to grow their own nutritious food and improve their health and income.

AWRO’s

Our team has approached the design and implementation of several projects and programs in the mentioned areas, and the policy and capacity-building word that stems from it, through the lens of true community-led development. Our curriculum and training methodologies were designed in partnership with the respective donors and involved parties that we served, while our innovation team works cross-culturally to design interventions that are effective and culturally adaptable.

rights-oriented and healthy nation..

The result is an organization that meets and responds to the needs of individuals and communities while simultaneously demonstrating the immense potential that Agriculture, Education, Peace, Good governance, Community, Health, Women Empowerment, Public awareness and Access to Justice, Democracy, Business and livelihood have be improved throughout the country.
